Introduction: The Salvation Army "Child Sponsorship Development Programme - China" aims at providing financial assistance so that children from poor families do not lose their opportunity and right for education. At present The Salvation Army is cooperating with departments/organizations concerned in various provinces, such as Yunnan, Guangxi, Gansu, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia, to support those poor children to continue their schooling.
